Cantina-style eatery in new lifestyle hotel The Alder brings unique flavor to luxury casino resort destination
MONTICELLO, N.Y. (December 12, 2018) – Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort, New York’s newest and closest casino resort to Manhattan, today announced the planned opening of Dos Gatos, an upscale cantina-style eatery offering classic Mexican fare with a fresh twist. Dos Gatos will be located adjacent to the lobby of The Alder, Resorts World Catskills’ soon-to-open 101-room lifestyle hotel, which will also feature New York’s only Topgolf Swing Suite. The opening of Dos Gatos will coincide with the opening of The Alder hospitality complex which is scheduled for Friday, December 28, 2018.

Dos Gatos will occupy 3,100 square feet of the Alder with 100 year-round seats. The restaurant will feature concrete floors, garage doors that open to outdoor space with additional tables in the warmer months, and a trendy, lively atmosphere. Menu items will include signature guacamole, street tacos, burritos and desserts made in-house. The restaurant’s full service bar will offer more than 120 types of tequila, 6 margaritas on tap, multiple Mexican beers, as well as Rose and other sparkling and white wines. In addition to full-service dinner, Dos Gatos will offer grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options, including breakfast quesadillas and burritos.
The Alder will offer guests an exciting new way to stay and play in the heart of the picturesque Catskill Mountains, with modern amenities, sweeping scenic views, and personalized service. Together with Topgolf, the opening of Dos Gatos enhances Resorts World Catskills’ myriad of dining and entertainment options, which include Cellaio, an Italian inspired steakhouse by celebrity chef Scott Conant, and year-round live entertainment at the 2,500-seat RW Epicenter.
The opening of The Alder and its hospitality and entertainment anchors marks the next phase in the growth of Resorts World Catskills, which opened its hotel and casino in February 2018. The destination resort will continue its expansion in 2019 with the addition of two new offerings, The Kartrite Hotel and Indoor Waterpark and a Rees Jones-redesigned golf course.
