The Sugar Beats have been playing throughout the Hudson Valley for the past 20 years They continue to delight bar patrons and enthusiastic private party, benefit, and festival attendees throughout the Valley with their take on classic rock from the 50’s through the present.

In 2020, the band transitioned from 4 to 3 members: Bill Conyea, Lead Guitar/Vocals; Danny McKnight, Bass/Vocals and Mike Pettit, Drum/Vocals. All 3 members have been playing music out for multiple decades in numerous bands and all share a deep appreciation for classic rock.

The philosophy of the band, and hence the name, is that music should be tasty (think sweet), be high energy good melodies, and harmonies. The collection of songs selected by the band, and the band’s performances of them, faithfully deliver on their philosophy.
