Tom Green
Tom Green is a dedicated PGA Associate and the Head Golf Professional at The Monster Golf Club at Resorts World Catskills. A veteran of the U.S. Army and a former Detective with the New York City Police Department, he brings over six years of golf industry experience, including developing instruction and play programs. Tom is a certified U.S. Kids Golf Instructor, PGA.COACH/American Development Model certified, and a PGA HOPE Instructor, focusing on growing the game for all ages and skill levels.
Tom’s teaching philosophy is built upon the idea that the swing is like a fingerprint, and no two are the same. Tom looks to optimize the players’ abilities within the framework of their natural swing.
Lex Redding
Lex started his career in 2008 after graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from SUNY Cortland. He majored in Kinesiology and minored in Sports Studies. He is a PGA Associate in good standing with the PGA of America and is working towards becoming a PGA Member with an eye towards reaching Master Professional Status in the future. He is also a PGA Coach and certified with the PGA’s American Developmental Model (ADM).
One of Lex’s strengths is player development. His philosophy is to focus on the fundamentals of the game first. His swing theory is to put the student in as many neutral positions as possible so they can develop a mechanically sound swing. His love of coaching is exemplified through his volunteer work for various youth sports organizations in the area.
Lex is a life long resident of the Hudson Valley and lives in Kerhonkson with his wife and two sons. He and his family enjoy hiking, traveling, and watching live sporting events.
Branden Guba
Branden is an Assistant Golf Professional at The Monster Golf Club at Resorts World Catskills. A PGA Associate working toward PGA Membership, Branden has spent the past six years in the golf industry at golf facilities throughout the Hudson Valley, gaining experience in instruction, daily golf operations, tournament management, and player services. He is certified through the PGA’s American Development Model (ADM), is a Titleist Certified Club Fitter, and is an active PGA Coach. A lifelong resident of Ellenville, New York, Branden developed his passion for athletics at an early age and went on to play collegiate soccer. The discipline, teamwork, and competitive mindset he gained through collegiate athletics continue to shape his approach as a golf professional. He is committed to continuing his education through the PGA of America while helping grow the game and creating memorable experiences for every golfer who visits The Monster Golf Club.
Casey Smith
Casey serves as an Assistant Golf Professional and is dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for members and guests while helping golfers of all skill levels enjoy the game. Growing up in Orange County, New York, Casey discovered a passion for golf while playing at the collegiate level, where he developed a strong competitive foundation and a deep appreciation for the traditions and values of the game. Casey joined the team at The Monster Golf Club in 2024 and is currently in his first season as an Assistant Golf Professional. He is enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program and is working toward PGA Membership while continuing to grow in all areas of the golf profession, including instruction, tournament operations, and merchandising. Casey believes golf is built on integrity, patience, and continuous improvement. Whether assisting with daily golf operations or working with players to build confidence, he strives to create a welcoming environment where every golfer can enjoy the game while delivering exceptional service to members and guests.
