RESORTS WORLD PROPERTIES TO HOST PATRIOTS CUP AT THE MONSTER GOLF CLUB, CAPPING A SUCCESSFUL FIRST YEAR OF PGA HOPE FOR LOCAL VETERANS

Resorts World Catskills, together with Resorts World New York City and Resorts World Hudson Valley, will host the Patriots Cup at The Monster Golf Club on October 21-22, bringing together PGA HOPE Veterans representing the Metropolitan, New Jersey and Philadelphia PGA Sections for a spirited team competition. This is the first year The Monster has hosted the Patriots Cup, and it caps off the inaugural year of PGA HOPE at Resorts World Catskills. The partnership is supported through RW Gives, Resorts World’s corporate philanthropic program.

Earlier this year, Resorts World Catskills launched its first PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) program, a free, adaptive golf program for Veterans and active-duty military, at The Monster Golf Club. Beginning August 26, Veterans took part in a six-week program led by PGA Professionals, learning the game in a welcoming environment while building relationships with fellow Veterans, including sessions held on The Monster’s golf simulators. The program uses golf to support participants’ physical, mental, social and emotional well-being, and was offered at no cost. Turnout in this first year was strong, and Resorts World Catskills is looking forward to continuing the partnership with the Metropolitan PGA Foundation in the years ahead.

More than a championship, the Patriots Cup is an opportunity to recognize Veterans from across the region, including Long Island, New York City and upstate New York, and celebrate the role golf can play in building community, supporting wellness and creating lasting connections.

“Resorts World Catskills is a place where the community can gather, connect and feel supported, and we are proud to extend that commitment to local Veterans through The Monster Golf Club,” said Meghan Taylor, SVP Government Affairs & Public Relations, Genting Americas. “While The Monster is hosting both PGA HOPE and the Patriots Cup, this is truly a collective effort, with all three Resorts World New York properties standing together to support our Veterans. PGA HOPE and the Patriots Cup reflect exactly what RW Gives is meant to do: create meaningful experiences for the people and organizations that make this region stronger.”

Together, the Patriots Cup, PGA HOPE and Resorts World Catskills demonstrate a shared belief that supporting Veterans is not limited to a single event or moment but is an ongoing commitment to creating opportunities that enhance their lives and strengthen the communities in which they live.

“We are incredibly grateful to Resorts World for their support of our Veterans, both through hosting this year’s Patriots Cup and through a successful first year of the new PGA HOPE program at The Monster,” said Kelli Clayton, Foundation Director of the Metropolitan PGA Foundation. “Through their commitment, they are helping us create more opportunities for Veterans to connect, build community and experience the lasting impact of the game. We truly value their partnership and shared commitment to enhancing the lives of local Veterans.”

The partnership continues Resorts World’s commitment to supporting Veterans and local organizations through RW Gives, the company’s community philanthropy program. Established in 2011, RW Gives has supported hundreds of organizations in the communities where Resorts World Catskills, Resorts World New York City and Resorts World Hudson Valley operate.
