Resorts World Catskills Appoints Two Seasoned Executives to Lead Multicultural Marketing Efforts

Calvin Quach and Angela Wu Together Bring More Than 35 Years of Experience to Destination Gaming Resort; Will Oversee Asian Engagement Strategy & International Marketing

MONTICELLO, N.Y. (Jan. 29) – Resorts World Catskills casino resort announced the appointment of two senior executives with concentrations in multicultural marketing, to its senior management team. Calvin Quach will serve as Vice President, International Marketing and Angela Wu as Executive Director, International Marketing. The two prominent team additions represent the latest commitment by Resorts World leadership to spotlight Asian culture and international markets as part of its core business model.

Quach and Wu will focus on developing Resorts World Catskills’ strategies to foster strong relationships with multicultural markets, build strategic marketing alliances, drive brand loyalty and enhance experiences for its international gaming clientele. Each bring a comprehensive understanding of Asian player development to the resort.

“We are thrilled to welcome Calvin and Angela to the Resorts World Catskills team,” said Kevin Kline, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Resorts World Catskills. “They each bring a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience from diverse markets, and we are confident that these skills will strongly complement our service offerings for international guests and further strengthen our position in the marketplace.”

As VP of International Marketing, Quach will lead a team that will target and develop new international markets. Quach comes to Resorts World Catskills with more than 25 years of executive experience at leading resort casinos in the United States. Most recently, Quach served as SVP for Asian Marketing at Baha Mar and the Director of Asian Marketing at Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem. Prior to that, he was the Director of Asian Marketing for Resorts International and served in a similar capacity for Trump Plaza Hotel Casino (Atlantic City, NJ) and Foxwoods Resort Casino (Mashantucket, CT).

Wu will oversee and manage the day-to-day servicing and expansion of Resort World Catskills’ international customer base in her role as Executive Director of International Marketing. A 10-year veteran in the casino gaming and resort management field, Wu most recently served as an Assistant Director at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh and the Head of Domestic Player Development & Asian Marketing at Empire City Casino (Yonkers, NY.) Wu began her career at Mohegan Sun in 2007 as an Executive Casino Host before moving on to Twin River Casino as a Domestic Player Development Executive.

Both Quach and Wu will be critical to Resort World Catskills’ continued commitment to engaging the Asian market and developing Asian gaming and entertainment offerings. Resorts World Catskills will feature table gaming that includes an area designed speficially for Asian gaming, as well as two spectacular restaurants offering authentic Asian cuisine, and service teams fluent in various dialects and languages.

Last month, Resorts World Catskills announced that it will open to the public ahead of schedule in time for the Lunar New Year. Additional information about the festivities will be announced in the coming weeks.
