MONTICELLO, N.Y., (August 2, 2017) — Resorts World Catskills will operate three casino dealer schools, one in each of Sullivan, Orange and Ulster counties, in the coming weeks. The dealer schools will be used to train people to enable them to apply for table games dealer positions at Resorts World Catskills. The schools will be located in Monticello, Stewart Airport/New Windsor and Ellenville. All table game classes will be free of charge.

In advance of the dealer school openings, Resorts World Catskills will hold information sessions in these three Hudson Valley counties to provide details about the casino dealer schools and for the manner in which interested individuals may register for classes. Resorts World Catskills expects to hire approximately 600 dealers prior to opening its doors to the public in March 2018 (Pending NYSGC approval).

“I’m pleased to note that we have great workforce development support from Sullivan County Legislative Chairman Luis Alvarez, and Orange and Ulster County Executives Steve Neuhaus and Mike Hein as we begin the process of providing information regarding job opportunities at our resort casino,” said Charles Degliomini, Executive Vice President of Empire Resorts, Inc., parent of the owner and operator of Resorts World Catskills. “Creating good paying jobs was the initial objective of the Upstate NY Gaming Economic Development Act, and after years of waiting we are close to realizing this important goal.”

“Resorts World Catskills is fulfilling its promise to the people of Sullivan County to provide jobs and boost the local economy,” said Luis Alvarez, chairman of the Sullivan County Legislature. “I encourage everyone to sign up and take advantage of the opportunities created by the casino project.”
