MONTICELLO, NEW YORK- With New York hospitals facing a chronic deficit of blood donations due to Covid-19, Resorts World New York is hosting a pair of blood drives in partnership with the New York Blood Center (NYBC) during American Heart Month. On Thursday, February 11th, Resorts World New York City will host its New York Mets Fan Blood Drive with the NYBC. Donors at Resorts World New York City will receive a free Limited Edition NY Mets t-shirt and a voucher for two tickets to a future New York Mets game. Resorts World Catskills will host its blood drive, the first to ever take place at the property, on Wednesday, February 24th, at the RW Epicenter. They will be giving away New York Blood Center socks and Resorts World Catskills merchandise to anyone at Resorts World Catskills who gives blood donations. New York Blood Center will also offer free antibodies testing to donors at both properties.
All donors should bring their donor ID card or ID with name and photo. Appointments are necessary, but walk-ins are welcome if room capacity permits. Each year, it supports more than 600 hospitals and dozens of research organizations, academic institutions, and biomedical companies.
Maintaining the health and safety of our guests is our top priority. To remain in compliance with all federal, state, and local CDC guidelines, the following protocols will be enforced:
• Social distancing
• Donors will have their temperature taken upon entry to the building and at check-in for the event
• Donors must wear a mask or face covering
• Donors must be 14 days symptom free if recovered from COVID-19
