Sebastian Maniscalco to Perform at Resorts World Catskills, New York’s Newest and Closest Luxury Casino Resort to Manhattan
Award-winning comedian set to bring the laughs to RW Epicenter with double header on August 25th
MONTICELLO, N.Y. (July 17) – Resorts World Catskills, New York’s newest and closest integrated commercial casino resort to Manhattan, announced today that red-hot comedian and national sensation Sebastian Maniscalco will perform two back-to-back shows in its intimate 2,500 seat RW Epicenter on Saturday, August 25.
Constantly seizing the moment and always telling it like it is, Maniscalco, the 2016 Just For Laughs Standup Comedian of the Year, isn’t afraid to put it all out there. The Chicago native, Italian-immigrant-raised comedian behind wildly successful network specials including 2016’s “Why Would You Do That?”, 2014’s “Aren’t You Embarrassed?” and 2012’s “What’s Wrong With People?” has worked hard to earn the reputation of being that little voice within all our heads – the one we are too timid to unleash.
It’s worked well enough to earn him appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and making return visits to late-night shows like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and CONAN. Newsday labeled Maniscalco “one of the hottest comics,” while Esquire called him “one of the funniest comics working stand-up today.” Says Maniscalco, “even though I’ve achieved some success, I will always stay hungry for more.”
“We are thrilled to welcome the remarkably unique and entertaining Sebastian Maniscalco and his witty storytelling to Resorts World Catskills,” added Kevin Kline, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Resorts World Catskills. “The Catskill region has been a catalyst for comedy legends throughout the years, and we look forward to continuing the tradition by hosting today’s best comedians like Sebastian Maniscalco and Jerry Seinfeld.”
Resorts World Catskills offers guests unmatched experiences in excitement, entertainment, and luxury in the region and is a driving factor in helping to restore the Catskills as a premier getaway and true entertainment destination. The RW Epicenter has already hosted the likes of legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld and singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw since its Grand Opening celebration in May and looks forward to hosting Sebastian Maniscalco on August 25 and The Fray, on August 31.
In addition to world-class entertainment, the luxury destination is running the “Imagine a Million” promotion now through September 15, 2018. On top of daily and weekly prizes, four players will each win a very special VIP experience package, and one lucky winner will take home $1 million, guaranteed. The “Imagine a Million” summer promotion supports Resorts World Catskills’ position to cater to all types of players, including VIPs, and showcases its newly opened amenities this summer. Our most recent winner, Janice Barry from Brewster, NY, won a VIP package which included a two-night stay in one of Resorts World Catskills’ two-story villas, a personal culinary experience with celebrity chef Scott Conant at Cellaio, luxury transportation via helicopter, and two tickets, including backstage passes, to the legendary Bethel Woods Center for the Arts for a concert or show. The next VIP package will be a VIP driving experience at the Monticello Motor Club and will be awarded on July 29.
Tickets for the Maniscalco performance will range from general admission to unique VIP experiences including Sky Suites. Doors open at 6pm and the shows begin at 7:00 and 9:30pm. Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 20 at 12pm and are available by visiting RWCatskills.com or Ticketmaster.com.
About Sebastian Maniscalco
Maniscalco is one of the premier standup comedians in the United States, with a reputation as multi-faceted entertainer. In addition to starring in his own wildly popular SiriusXM program, “The Pete and Sebastian Show,” his major motion picture portfolio expanded in 2017 to include a voice-over for character Johnny the Groundhog in the animated feature Nut Job 2 and a role in the New Line Feature comedy “The House” starring Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler. Maniscalco was also included on Forbes’ 2017 list of “The World’s Highest Paid Comedians,” who praised, “thanks to his enthusiasm and willingness to work, Maniscalco will likely continue to be on Forbes’ list for years to come.” Some performers might be content to take a break. But not Maniscalco. The comedian, actor, and best-selling author recently wrapped the spring leg of his Stay Hungry 2018 Tour with five sold-out shows at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall. People Magazine’s “The comedian’s comedian” broke the historic venue’s record with his appearances ranking him it highest grossing comedy weekend in their 85-year history. Fans around the world hungry to see the performance will get their chance as the set was filmed for an upcoming Netflix special. The landmark appearance follows an already packed 2018. In February Maniscalco released his first book “Stay Hungry,” for Simon & Schuster (Gallery Books) making the national best-sellers list. The spring leg of his Stay Hungry tour featured 50 shows in cities across the US and Canada, including Montreal, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Toronto’s Air Canada Center, where he sold the arena out (19,000 tickets), culminating with 5 sold-out shows at Radio City.
