Thanksgiving Comes Early at Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort with Celebrity Chefs Marcus Samuelsson and Scott Conant

 

The Food Network stars and restaurateurs will whip up festive dishes during a Thanksgiving-themed public demonstration in the RW Epicenter, in time for the holidays

MONTICELLO, N.Y. (October 2) – Resorts World Catskills, New York’s newest and closest integrated casino resort to Manhattan, announced today that it will be welcoming celebrity chefs Marcus Samuelsson and Scott Conant for a Thanksgiving-themed event.  On Saturday, November 23, the acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs will take the RW Epicenter stage for an afternoon of culinary fun, featuring demonstrations of Thanksgiving dishes, samples of the chefs’ signature holiday favorites and a Q&A session.

 

In addition to the general ticket that will be available to purchase, VIP tickets will also be offered, which will include a seat in the first three rows, a gift bag with items from both Samuelsson and Conant, and a meet and greet with the chefs.

 

Scott Conant is no stranger to Resorts World Catskills as the casino resort’s signature restaurant, Cellaio, was developed and is operated in collaboration with the chef.  Chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and TV personality Conant brings a deft touch and unwavering passion to creating culinary experiences with thoughtful hospitality and soulful cuisine. He is the chef and owner of Mora Italian, a modern osteria in Phoenix, Arizona, and Cellaio, which was recently ranked the 5th best casino restaurant by USA Today’s 10Best Awards. Conant has published three cookbooks, including the acclaimed Bold Italian in 2008 and is a frequent co-host on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay and a judge on Chopped, as well as the Season 2 and Season 3 host of Best Baker In America.

Marcus Samuelsson is the acclaimed chef behind many restaurants worldwide including Red Rooster Harlem, Red Rooster Shoreditch, and Marcus B&P. Samuelsson was the youngest person to ever receive a three-star review from The New York Times and has won multiple James Beard Foundation Awards including Best Chef: New York City. A committed philanthropist, Samuelsson co-produces the annual week-long festival Harlem EatUp!, which celebrates the food, art, and culture of Harlem and is co-chair of the board of directors for Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP). In May 2016, he was inducted into the James Beard Foundation Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America and is also the recipient of the 2019 Vilcek Foundation Prize in Culinary Arts. He is the author of multiple books including The New York Times bestselling memoir Yes, Chef.
