New York’s own Belmont Stakes is third leg of horse racing’s jewel, the Triple Crown
Monticello, NY, Newburgh, NY and Queens, NY – The 155th running of the Belmont Stakes, the final leg of the Triple Crown, is set for Saturday, June 10, and outside of the track, the best place in the state to watch the race is at one of Resorts World New York’s casinos. While there won’t be a Triple Crown winner this year, race enthusiasts and casual fans are invited to watch the “Test of the Champion” at all three Resorts World New York properties. Post time is set for 7:02 p.m.
Head to Resorts World Catskills, where you can sit at Sportsbook 360 and watch from the bar surrounded by a 360-degree arc of 32 jumbo flat screen televisions and a 9’ x 16’ high-definition screen. The Resorts World Bet Sports Bar at Resorts World Hudson Valley, and Bar 360 at Resorts World New York City, featuring the largest HDTV screen in Queens, will also be showing the race. The 28’ x 16’ screen is the best seat in town for watching the horses take on the grueling 1½-mile distance.
Mage, who won the Kentucky Derby as a 15-to-1 long shot, came in third during the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore and will not be racing in the Belmont. Forte is the current 5-2 favorite to win Saturday’s race.
