Resorts World Catskills Donates to Fearless! Hudson Valley to Help Launch Victim Advocate Program in Sullivan County
Catskills, NY – Resorts World Catskills (RWC) announced today that in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, it donated $10,000 to Fearless! Hudson Valley, Inc. (Fearless!) on Monday, October 31. The money will help launch a victim advocate program in Sullivan County. It would be co-located within the Sullivan County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and mimic a successful similar program already in place in Orange County.
From L to R: Angela Rein, Manager Government Affairs and Public Relations, Resorts World Catskills; Anthony Bruno, Vice President of Operations, Resorts World Hudson Valley; Sarita Green, Associate Director, Fearless! Hudson Valley, Inc.; Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier, Executive Director, Fearless! Hudson Valley, Inc.; Meghan Taylor, Vice President Government Affairs and Public Relations, Resorts World Catskills and Resorts World New York City
“Organizations such as this are at the heart of what we do,” said Meghan Taylor, Vice President Government Affairs and Public Relations, Resorts World Catskills and Resorts World New York City. “Their efforts to improve the community in Orange County are well-known and we’re happy to support their endeavors to expand to Sullivan County. The more resources available to all of the families in our communities, the stronger the fibers that bind us all together will be, enforcing a strong foundation for decades to come.”
CACs are for children who have suffered sexual abuse or severe physical abuse. They’re treated by caring teams who are fiercely dedicated to ending child abuse and helping children and families heal. The new program would be comprised of individuals who specialize in providing services to these children and their non-offending family members.
“This donation from Resorts World is so important to the future of our organization,” said Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier, Executive Director, Fearless! Hudson Valley, Inc. “Working collaboratively for victims and survivors has shown great success in Orange County and the opportunity to expand this work in Sullivan County means we can work towards achieving our goal of providing victims with trauma responsive services, enhancing their safety, and holding those who inflict harm accountable.”
The donation was made possible through Resorts World Gives, RWC’s corporate philanthropic program, which supports innovative organizations with clear goals and proven results. To learn more, visit rwcatskills.com/resorts-world-gives/.
