Resorts World Catskills Hosts and Serves as Title Sponsor for 44th Annual “Monster Classic”
Proceeds from the race benefit the Sullivan County Veterans Coalition
Monticello, NY – Resorts World Catskills (RWC) announced today it served as the host of the 44th annual Monticello Rotary Monster Classic Run and Walk on Sunday, August 7, 2022. As the Title Sponsor of the event, known by many as the “Monster Classic,” RWC presented the Sullivan County Veterans Coalition with a check for $3,500.
Participants had the option of a 5K or 10K run or a 5K walk on one of the best courses in the beautiful Catskills, all to show their support for those who have served. There were also raffles, door prizes and an auction, making this a fun-filled event for the entire family.
This year’s race drew more than 225 participants, including a team comprised of employees from Resorts World Catskills, Resorts World New York City and Resorts World Hudson Valley. New York State Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther, Bill Rieber, Supervisor of the Town of Thompson, Congressional candidate Jamie Cheney and Eric Ball, who is running for New York State Senate, were all in attendance. The Monticello Fire Department was also there, along with plenty of spectators and volunteers, who all came together to help local veterans meet the needs of everyday living.
Funds raised by the highly anticipated event will benefit the Sullivan County Veterans Coalition. RWC’s contribution was made possible through Resorts World Gives, its RWC’s corporate philanthropic program, which supports innovative organizations with clear goals and proven results.
