Monticello, NY – Resorts World Catskills (RWC) is proud to announce it donated $5,000 to the Sullivan County SPCA (SCSPCA) to assist with its dog kennel renovation. A ribbon cutting was held for the new wing, which will house 22 new, up-to-date dog kennels, on Thursday, July 13.
“It’s because of such wonderful partners within the community like Resorts World that we were able to make this renovation happen,” said John Piazza, Sullivan County SPCA president. “In addition to their generous donation, their team members also helped with our annual fundraiser, volunteering their time to assist with getting everything ready for the crowds of people who turned out for our yard sale.”
Team members from RWC and Resorts World Hudson Valley (RWHV) volunteered their time on Friday, July 14, assisting the Sullivan County SPCA with unpacking the truckloads of donations they received ahead of their annual community yard sale on July 15 and 16. That event raised $4,250 for the no-kill shelter.
Earlier this year, RWC presented the Sullivan County SPCA with cases of alcohol and Clorox wipes, towels, washcloths, and boxes of gloves and antibacterial hand soap.
Resorts World’s contributions were made possible through Resorts World Gives, Resorts World’s corporate philanthropic program, which supports innovative organizations with clear goals and proven results.
“We’re so lucky to have so many organizations like the SCSPCA in our area, who are all doing such important work for the community, “said Meghan Taylor, Senior Vice President, Resorts World New York. “The necessary renovation will help deliver the best standard of care possible, so we were happy to help assist with their efforts.”
