Resorts World Shows its Support for the Autism Community During World Autism Month

Monticello, NY, Newburgh, NY and Queens, NY – April is World Autism Month and Resorts World New York has participated in several events across the state aimed at creating a more diverse, accepting and inclusive community.

Employees from Resorts World New York City (RWNYC) took part in the 2023 Autism Speaks New York 5K on Saturday, April 1 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, to show their support for the autism community. It was the second year in a row Resorts World has participated in the event.

Resorts World Catskills (RWC) and Resorts World Hudson Valley (RWHV) donated $2,000 to the Hudson Valley Light it Up Blue celebration on Saturday, April 15. They also provided a one-night escape in a luxury suite at RWC to be raffled off during the annual fundraiser. Proceeds from the event went to Think Different, Orange County, NY. Its mission is to fulfill the promise of a community where all people can fully participate, are valued for their unique contributions, and can achieve their dreams.

RWC and RWHV joined other landmarks around the world in turning turned blue to raise awareness for autism, in addition to Bar 360 at RWNYC.
