Located just an eight-minute drive away from Resorts World Catskills, Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park caters to beginner and expert skiers and snowboarders alike. Holiday Mountain is home to seven slopes and trails with varying degrees of difficulty, all of which are fully illuminated for night skiing. If skiing isn’t for you but you still want to sail down the mountain, Holiday Mountain offers snow tubing options for all ages. All of their slopes and trails are covered with man-made bases and the resort utilizes the latest in snow grooming technology in order to provide guests with only the finest skiing and snowboarding conditions. Both day passes and season passes are available for purchase as well as the option to rent skis, snowboards, and boots.

Mount Peter Ski Area

Only an hour away from the resort lies Mount Peter, the oldest operating ski area in New York State. Mount Peter proudly offers Free Beginner Ski and Snowboard School, so if you’re brand new to either of the sports, this might be the best first stop on your skiing or snowboarding journey. For skiers who want additional training that extends beyond the basics, Mount Peter also offers both weekend and weekday programs. The ski area contains fourteen gorgeous trails for skiers and snowboarders of all levels as a six hundred-foot tubing run. Victor Constant Ski Area at West Point

For the last eighty years, Victor Constant Ski Area, located just outside of the United States Military at West Point, has been a go-to skiing destination for military families as well as the surrounding community. An hour’s drive away from Resorts World Catskills, the army’s oldest ski area operates annually December through March, depending on the weather.  The West Point Winter Sports School and Victor Constant offer group ski training for guests of all ages and skill levels. Discounted rates are offered for military personnel and their families, but the general public is welcomed and encouraged to hit the slopes of this friendly, neighborhood ski club.

Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain

Located just an hour’s drive from Resorts World Catskills in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania, Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain is home to eighteen different trails, seven lifts, and six hundred fifty feet of vertical drop. Big Bear’s slopes are most often blanketed with snow derived from Mother Nature, but when that’s not available, the Snowmakers ensure that the trails are covered with as much snow as possible. Private and group lessons are available for skiers of all ages and skill levels, though, for those who don’t wish to ski or take lessons, Big Bear offers tubing that will get you out into the snow with family and friends. Daily tickets and season passes can be purchased online or in-person with lots of perks, including discounted tubing rates and restaurant discounts, available to season pass holders. Big Bear also offers equipment rentals that range from day rentals to rentals for the entire season that can be taken with you anywhere you and your family decide to ski.
